animal kingdom i hope there's some good in goodbye i tried to tell you of all the things that I keep in the dark it's a slow comedown shadows of doubt cast aspersions on i won't make a sound – and I keep it in the dark this is an animal kingdom - we all live in but it feels like... give up and you won't stop losing battles of young hearts it's so draining when you – when you keep it in the dark i know there's no good in goodbye I tried to warn you of all the things that I keep in the dark it weighs me down it hurts like hell when I think of you i will let you down – and keep it in the dark this is an animal kingdom – we all live in but it feels like... give up and you won't stop losing battles of young hearts it's so draining when you – when you keep it in the dark i can't explain it to you – I got pink sunglasses on i'm afraid to hurt you – so I keep it in the dark you can't run this is an animal kingdom

communist Lecture this is starting to sound like a communist lecture it's starting to look like a forced Armageddon hell calls hell - how could I forget it? i'm beginning to think this string of events is in the wrong sequence do you remember the time that I met you? you were blue in the light - good god I was a disaster the first time I saw you - I lost my balance When I saw you last - I lost my balance i won't let you be alone i won't let you forget to take a bow for all the things you've done by now i don't want to blink - nor stop to stare to fare thee well for everything i think I've confused movement with action i take a step forward but I swear I'm retracting you tuned my head to your numbers station your surrogate dreams are thinning my patience looking around the humor is gallows i'd jump right in if it wasn't so shallow we eat our heads - more truth in our fiction you're pulling me down, down, down and I'm drowning i won't let you be alone i won't let you forget to take a bow for all the things you've done by now i give and you take - We hang ourselves with all the things we save to say this is starting to sound like a communist lecture it's starting to look like a forced Armageddon hell calls hell - how could I forget it? this is starting to sound like a communist lecture

Congregation 06:18
congregation they’re coming from the north but our guns are pointed south surrounded by vampires trying to tire us out they’re coming from the north but our guns are pointed south who you foolin' with the fools around if we don’t see smoke how do we know that the flame is out? surrounded by vampire choirs distorting our sound if we heard it once, it will echo forever - love crowns the congregation sings lay down our arms we can take them out raise our fists. this is it. we are putting our foot down surrounded by vampires dying to put us out we demand, we demand, we demand that you leave this town the congregation sings you got the world on a string they’re coming from the north but our guns are pointed south surrounded by vampires trying to tire us out they’re coming from the north but everywhere we look is south the congregation sings you got the world on a string

Wake Up 03:51
wake up she said “all life’s a chance,” as she moved me to dance “play it safe,” she said, “and you’re dead!” it won’t be too long and i’d rather be wrong than be right too late all our convictions were once whims unwritten when we were just drawing in sand and though we fall back - we fall and we laugh and we close our eyes it’s time to wake up she said "i know things change," as it started to rain "play it safe," she said, "and you're dead!" each saint has a past - and pretty flowers never last just like you and me all our convictions were once whims unwritten when we were just drawing in sand let's stiffen our spines and raise up our sights we can't miss this time it’s time to wake up we shoot at moving targets if we wait until we know where, then we will never get there we shoot at moving targets if we don't make mistakes well then we will never make or break anything at all it's time to wake up it's time to wake up and shake off the yoke and arise it's time to wake up and take out the plank from your eye

Years 04:08
years i have always loved what i've lost i have always loved after i have lost each year I'm closer to starting all over - and each day I'm further away no feeling is final - no chance to survive all the funerals in my brain all wars are holy wars i used to thrill to your love i used to thrill and tremble to your love each year the coastline gets further from my sight - and each time I drown in the sea i just want to die while I'm still alive but I can't find the right time to leave all wars are holy wars this time i'll try to form an open chain-less mind each year I'm back here again i'm up against a wall - everywhere I turn, I'm up against a wall i'm still waiting for something more all wars are holy wars

Spiders 03:44
spiders i've been thinkin' 'bout you, drinkin' myself into oblivion i've been thinkin' 'bout you, wonderin' where you are tonight i laid it all on the line, and I don't have the time to be thinkin' 'bout you, wishing you were here you keep coming 'round here, why'd we have to get so serious? i've been racking my brain, playing back the years we must of said our goodbyes, a hundred thousand times you keep coming 'round here repeating all your lines let's give it up the curtain's calling i can't do this anymore bombs, bombs away - the city's burning but all is fair in love and war i've been bitten by so many spiders in this city i've been bitten by so many spiders in this pretty town i've been thinkin' 'bout you, drinkin' myself into oblivion i've been thinkin' 'bout you, wonderin' where you are all of our cares could drop like flies if we just let this die i've been soaking my drink reaching the flood tide let's give it up the curtain's calling i can't do this anymore bombs, bombs away - the city's burning but all is fair in love and war i've been bitten by so many spiders in this city i've been bitten by so many spiders in this pretty town - so what's one more? i've been bitten by so many spiders

Burn 03:31
burn i'm not going back with my head in my hands i'm so restless and weary, I don't know what to do i'm not going back with my head in my hands i'm down and out on the edge of town a little poison now and then makes for better dreams dark is the night on the edge of town i've got a taste for blood and they gonna chew me up and spit me out you have to learn how to burn in this fiery spiraling city you have to burn, burn, burn out bright i think so much of right and wrong it never learned how to walk until i learned how to run i'm not going back to the beasts up town i only need my name in the paper twice, once when I was born free and when I die and I guess if I find a wife (good god) how can i live unbroken? love is mad and the world's on fire you have to learn how to burn in this fiery spiraling city you have to burn, burn, burn out bright
